Swimwear with a rash guard or quick-dry tee on top. Reef-safe sunblock applied before you leave home (it absorbs better dry). Skip jewellery, watches, loose hats, and sunglasses without a strap. Bring a towel and a full change of clothes for after.
You do not need wetsuits or water shoes. The water at Marina Country Club is warm year-round.
The short list: swimwear (worn under your clothes), a towel, sunblock, a refillable water bottle, and a change of clothes. We supply everything technical — boards, life jackets, ropes, the boat. If you wear contact lenses, an extra pair in your bag is a good idea.
Optional: a waterproof phone pouch if you want photos from the boat.
Yes — 8 years old. At 8, most kids have the motor control and the attention span to follow Wilson’s coaching cues. There is no upper age limit. We regularly have riders in their 60s and 70s who are wake surfing alongside their grandkids.
Younger siblings (under 8) are welcome to ride along on the boat as passengers — they just can’t ride the board yet.
Yes. A confident paddle is enough. Every rider wears a Coast Guard-approved life jacket at all times. The boat stays within a few metres of you. Wilson is CPR-certified. Many ABB first-timers are not strong swimmers — it has never stopped anyone from having a great session.
Standard sessions are 2 hours of total boat time, including the safety brief, boarding, riding rotations, and return to pier. With 4 riders, that works out to roughly 25–30 minutes on the board each, depending on stamina. Fewer riders = more time each.
If you have more than 6 riders, we will help you split into two consecutive sessions.

For corporate or repeat clients, an invoice can be raised against the Pack instead.
A passing shower does not stop the session — boats are designed for it, and you are wet anyway. The two things that do stop a session are thunder/lightning and strong winds creating unsafe water. In either case, the captain pauses or reschedules at no charge.
Singapore’s monsoon shoulder months (Nov–Jan, May–Jun) need a little more flexibility. Otherwise it’s mostly blue sky.
Yes. ABB is one of the only operators in Singapore that genuinely welcomes dogs — no extra charge, no breed or size limits. Bring a fitted dog life jacket if you have one (or borrow ours), a towel and a non-slip mat for the bow. Nervous dogs go slow; confident dogs ride the bow with grandpa enthusiasm.
Kids from 8 typically take to wake surfing faster than adults — they have less fear and lower centres of gravity. If a child is nervous, Wilson starts them on the boat, with a life jacket, watching the older kids ride. By the time their turn comes, the fear is usually gone. No one is ever forced into the water.
Yes. Private boat = perfect for small corporate team-building or birthday parties (up to 6 riders per session, more split across consecutive slots). We’ve done founder breakfasts, NTU Alumni outings, NS-leaving birthdays, and 50th-birthday surprise rides. WhatsApp Wilson with your group size and date for a tailored quote.
Honest advice — if you have never wake surfed, start with Ad Hoc (2 hours · S$380). See if it lands. If you and the family love it (most do), upgrade to a Starter or Regular Pack on session 2. The price you paid on the Ad Hoc can be applied toward the Pack within 30 days — so there’s no penalty for trying.
If you already know you’ll be back, the Starter Pack (6 hours) usually pays itself off in 3 sessions.
